Come play with me...I need socialization!

PawPADs depends on volunteers to help accomplish the work of raising and training these amazing canines. We believe that it truly "takes a village" to raise a service dog!
There are lots of ways to get involved. What you choose to do depends on your interests and the opportunities are limitless. Listed below are just a sampling of how you can be a part of our "village":

  • Print our "Needs List ;" check with your neighbors, garages sales, employers, family and friends and see if you can help meet those needs
  • Be on our Week-end Puppy Raiser Team and help make a great partner out of our puppies by occasionally hosting them in your home for the weekend ;
  • In-kind donations such as kennels, dog food, wheelchairs, puppies, etc.
  • Offering your services or expertise in areas such as Veterinary services, Legal services, Grant writing, sewing vests...the list is endless and we value creativity;

  • Getting the word out about PawPADs -- getting more people involved and connecting PawPADs to organizations that could benefit from our innovative programming.

Your contribution in any amount plays a crucial role in helping fulfill our mission and your donation is fully tax deductible. The average cost of raising and training these amazing canines is between $20,000 and $25,000! PawPADs relies entirely on the generosity of individual contributions, corporate contributions, fund raisers, gifts in-kind and grants. These contributions enable us to accomplish our goal of offering a helping paw to those in need. Here are some of the ways that you can help financially:
  • Send a private donation;
  • Ask your employer to set up a match program;
  • Sponsor a specific Assistance Dog in training;
  • Make and fund a monthly pledge;

Magic: The magic, for trainers, volunteers, and puppy petters to watch the light bulbs go off in a puppy's mind as they figure out how to open a door, turn on a light or go get help for their partner.
